To a harried adult, it can seem that children never tire of asking the questions "Why?" and "What if?". With their unbridled curiosity, children take an impressively active interest in the world they live in.

The Children's University of Zurich has been encouraging children to engage with phenomena that fascinate them, from the cosmic to the everyday, for more than a decade. The programme provides a space where children can answer their own questions through hands-on research and lectures led by experts in a variety of disciplines.

As a global reinsurer, Swiss Re knows from experience that an open mind, knowledge and rigour are vital to shaping the future. In this spirit, the Swiss Re Foundation is delighted to support the Children's University of Zurich and thereby to foster children’s fun and excitement as they immerse themselves in learning.

The Children's University of Zurich is able to offer all its services free of charge thanks to the University of Zurich (which provides the necessary infrastructure), donations from corporate partners and the voluntary commitment of experts in science, economics and culture.
