Education and career
Carolina completed her master's degree in Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen in 1992. She started her career as a credit risk analyst in commercial banking at Credit Suisse. From 1997 to 2001, Carolina worked for Swiss Re in Zurich and Mexico, where she managed the due diligence and communications for various acquisition projects in Latin America. From 2001 to 2005, Carolina was a project manager at Accenture. Her main project was the merger of four large insurance companies, in which she headed up the communications sub-project and supported the development and organisation of end user trainings. After her return to Swiss Re in 2007, Carolina worked in Corporate Citizenship. She became Senior Project Manager at the Swiss Re Foundation in 2012.
Carolina is responsible for analysing global project grant requests, drawing up decision-making documentation and contracts and monitoring projects that receive our support. She also manages the Foundation’s finances.
