How to partner with us?
ab
We collaborate with social enterprises and NGOs to pilot and scale solutions that address significant challenges to climate and health resilience.
Most of our partners are selected through a strategic process, factoring in recommendations from our ecosystem partners, to ensure alignment with our mission and focus areas. Selected applicants are required to present a concept note, which is reviewed by the Foundation team. Only those who pass this screening are invited to submit a full project proposal.
The criteria considered in the proposal evaluation process include:
- Strategic alignment: The proposed project must target low-income people and fall in one of our focus areas: Access to health, Nature-based solutions or Disaster Risk Reduction.
- Organisational track record and capability: Applicants must have a documented history of executing similar projects and demonstrate the capacity to implement additional ones.
- Intervention strategy: The project approach should reflect an in-depth understanding of the specific circumstances of the low-income people to be served.
- Social/environmental impact: Applicants must show substantial social and/or environmental impact and ideally be able to measure it reliably.
- Geography: Applicants are required to operate in countries classified as low- and middle-income by the World Bank or in locations where Swiss Re maintains offices.
- Legal compliance: Applicants must adhere to the legal frameworks of the country or countries in which they operate and be eligible to receive funding from a Swiss non-governmental organisation such as the Swiss Re Foundation.
- Financial transparency: Applicants must have a clear and transparent financial record of organizational income and expenditure.
