Natural Hazard and Climate Risk Management

As the world’s population grows, natural hazards and climate risk threaten the health, safety and livelihoods of more people than ever. Poor communities are both the most vulnerable to the effects of disasters, environmental degradation and climate risk and the least well equipped to manage these challenges.

With a focus on disaster-prone regions, we partner with organisations that support such communities in their efforts to prevent and prepare for natural catastrophes, adopt climate-friendly practices and adapt to a changing environment. We also fund emergency aid in severe catastrophes.
